So, it’s 2009 and several months ago, I moved this blog to WordPress to save $$ since I just bought a loft and need to cut unneccesary expenditures. It seemed easy enough to bring everything over, so I deleted my TypePad account and, then, a dasterdly thing happened. I noticed that none of the images from my blog came over. I also noticed that none of my inter-linkage worked either. Oh, well. I’m trying to be zen about it, as I never was one who posted a lot of images in my blog — though lately, I had been making really image-laden posts.
Neither here nor there, I guess, but as you peruse these blog pages, and don’t see images, it’s just the way it is…Hopefully it’s not too much of a distraction.

Too bad about the pix. Losing data hurts, but like you said, there is something zen about the letting go that is like a lesson. I found that after I let go of the losses, I felt better. My question is, do we feel better that we did when we actually had the data? I’ve lost loads of data before and there’s something feng shway correct about it.
Anyway, since you like Tina, I’m wondering what your music is like… do you have a myspace?

One of your reviewers mentioned Everything But The Girl, and I felt that vibe in your song Francis… it’s funny too cuz one of my fave songs by them is:

A few years ago my friend Jessica was crazy about blogging and I didn’t know much about it – I have one now (a few), and anyway, one day I was out at this rec center, and I just put together a few lyrics and chords.. wrote it on a brown paper towel and recorded it (on my sony camera) when I got home. I took that recording and made a video out of some clips I shot of Jessica and her b/f when we were at the beach later that summer… I hope you can watch it- It’s kinda rough, but… (I used to perform as Paris)

Thanks for checking my page, I wish I could record in a studio some day… I’m setting up a DAW with my notebook – just got a Shure Beta 58A for Christmas from my sister (mwah!), so I’m itching to do some new tracks. I’m using this Line 6 Toneport KB37 as a midi interface (it’s a keyboard and plugs right into the laptop, gives a ton of cool guitar and mic effects that actually sound great.)
Here’s a sound check I did with the Line 6 and and older Marshall condenser mic. When I first plugged it in to do a sound check, I wasn’t intending to even play anything, but what came through the headphones was so cool, I just continued after I heard that first chord. Here it is:
