woke up in a panicked state, i was so afraid that nothing would be what i wanted

December 7, 2005

As if booking a bonus therapy session in my "off" week yesterday wasn’t enough, today I bolstered the emotional reserves with a little retail therapy, too.

I’ve been on the hunt for a leather jacket and today I finally found one that I liked; it reminds me slightly of JC’s that I coveted last fall. (Looked for an image on-line, but can’t find one. Drat!) Had lunch with LC today and it was so great to finally catch up; She came with me to the shops and gave her stamp of approval on the jacket. She’s my tax lady, too, so I said, "Hey, if I wear this on stage, can I write it off?!"

It seems like the holiday party season has officially begun. I missed one last night to go see GG at Eddie’s (great performance, as always) and that was definitely worth it. Tonight, there’s three! Two in my building (only can make it to one) and the BMI holiday gathering.

Been listening to the new Casey Stratton CD "Divide" and it’s really good. Of course, his last CD, "Standing At The Edge," will always be a personal favorite, but the songs from the new one are really good, too. He’s an independent artist, so if you like the tunes, then please go support him and pick up a copy for yourself!

In a case of wonderful timing, MM called from Canada and at the end of our long chat he said that he’s glad I’m off his pedestal, and that the things that I call flaws actually make me more able to be loved. Which definitely ranked as the day’s highlight…

Couldn’t sleep again last night, so I started making my top 10 lists. I’ll be rolling them out shortly, so stay tuned. I know you’re waiting on the edge of your seats. LOL.
